LHS Softball Swept by Garden City

Garden City’s softball team came to Liberal for a double header on Tuesday afternoon.  Garden swept the double header winning the first game 17-2 but the second game was close as Garden won 4-1.

In game one, the game went six innings.  The Buffaloes scored one in the first, three in the second, two in the fourth, three in the fifth, and eight in the sixth.  Liberal had just three hits.

In game two, the teams combined for just seven hits.  Garden scored two in the first and LHS plated one in the sixth to make it 2-1.  The Buffaloes added two insurance runs in the seventh to lead 4-1.  Milly McClure pitched for Liberal holding Garden City to just two earned runs.  Liberal had just three hits.

Liberal is 4-4 and 0-4 in the WAC.  They play at Wichita Southeast on Friday.
