Comments from coach Cheri Bevis:

This was a very competitive meet with many ranked 5A and 6A boys and girls teams. The boys turned in an impressive 2nd place finish. Sr. Jaime Minjarez, Freshman Angel Viveros, and Sr. Alan Grejeda all finished in the top 20 earning medals. The boy ??s team continues to be very competitive. We will work in the coming weeks on speed and running more consistently as a group of 7 in preparation for WAC, regionals, and State.

The girls team finished 9th in a very competitive field. We ran shorthanded this week as freshman standout Mercy Perez was absent due to another school activity. The girl ??s team was led by Sophomore Destyni Lucrero who finished in the medals in 6th place. Freshman McKenzie Wright, Kim Francis, and Holly Hinkle continue to improve their times each week. All 3 freshman girls set new PR ??s this week. This young team is gaining confidence at the right time and look to finish out the season with strong finishes in WAC and regionals.
