LHS Football Season Ends in Hutch

The Liberal Redskins 2009 football campaign came to an end Friday night in Hutchinson as the defending state champions beat the Redskins 55-21 in the first round of the Class 5A playoffs.

Hutchinson led 48-7 at halftime and finished with 454 total yards of offense. The Redskins finished with 262 yards of total offense.

The Skins’ were led in the loss by junior quarterback Slader McVey who threw for 214 yards and three touchdowns.

Hutchinson improves to 10-0 and will play at Salina South next Friday. Liberal finishes their season at 3-7.
