KSCB News - December 1, 2010 12:00 am

How is that for a start. In her first year as LHS head cross country coach, Cheri Bevis is the Kansas Cross Country and Track and Field Coach of the Year. Bevis coached the Redskins to a third place finish at state and a third straight WAC boys championship. Cheri, a Moscow native and former Lady Saint basketball player replaced her husband Darrin Bevis who led the team to state the past two years.

The Redskins were the top public school at this year’s state meet behind state champ Bishop Carroll and runner up St. Thomas Aquinas.
