Lady Skins Control Own Destiny for 1 Seed

The Liberal girls need one more win to clinch the one seed in sub state after a 47-36 win in the Garden last night. Wichita Heights beat Bishop Carroll 82-76 meaning the Lady Eagles finish 18-2. Liberal is 18-1 and 7-0 in the WAC after the win. Hannah Rotolo led a balanced scoring attack with 10 points. Kayla Payton hit three first half three pointers and scored nine. MaKayla McPhail added 9. Garden City finishes the regular season 9-11 overall and 3-5 in the WAC. Eighteen wins is the most for LHS since 1990 when Mike Ronin’s team went 18-5. Liberal hosts Dodge City for Senior Night Friday at 6 pm on 1270 am and kscb.net.
