Lady Saints Win Jayhawk West

The Seward Lady Saints went from fourth to the Jayhawk West title in 18 days. After losing two at home to Butler April 8, Seward reversed their fortunes and after their sweep over Butler at El Dorado on Friday, Seward took care of struggling Colby (8-27,1-13) Sunday at Lady Saints Field 9-1 and 6-3. Seward is 35-14 overall and finishes 12-4 in the Jayhawk West. Seward begins Region 6 Tournament play Saturday at 2 pm in Wichita against the winner of Colby or Barton.
