Lady Saints Tear Up Trinidad

Seward led 3-8 Trinidad State 9-6 Friday in Garden City. That didn’t set well with Seward head coach Toby Wynn. After a timeout, the #20 Lady Saints ripped off runs of 19-0 and 25-2 to put the game on cruise control in a 95-53 win in Perryman Center.

Seward led 34-8 and led 44-18 at the half. The Lady Saints shot 62 percent from the field while forcing 25 Trinidad turnovers including 17 in the first half. Daniela Galindo scored a career high 20 points while Leslie Speer added a career high 12. Rebekah Hatchard scored 13 while Kyndal Davis scored 11. Brooklyn Artis dropped in 10.

Seward is 8-0 and faces 11-0 New Mexico Junior College Saturday at 1:30 on B107.5 and kscbnews.net. NMJC edged Garden City 52-48 Friday night.
