Lady Saints Bury Butler

On sophomore recognition night in the Greenhouse, sophomore Kayla Thomas
came up big for the Lady Saints, scoring a career high 17 points for
Seward as they kept their hopes alive for a #2 seed in the Region VI
Tournament with a 73-48 win over the Butler Lady Grizzlies.

Anete Kirsteine scored 17 and Ashlynn Knoll added 14 in the win.

The Lady Saints forced 26 Butler turnovers and held the Lady Grizzlies

to 26 percent shooting.

Seward is 22-6 overall and 11-4 in the Jayhawk West. Butler falls to 16-13

and 5-10 in the Jayhawk West. Seward has 25 straight wins over Butler.

The Lady Saints play at #2 undefeated Hutch at 5:30 Saturday night on

B107.5 and kscbnews.net.
