Lady Dusters Look to Swap Roles at State

KSCB News - March 2, 2011 10:50 am

Beaver coach Casey Jones has high expectations and so do his players. They expect to go to state and this year with four seniors, the 24-2 Lady Dusters are back in Class A state in Midwest City to play Chattanooga Thursday night at 8:30. Beaver has been to state in five in Jones 10 years as head coach since he replaced legendary Beaver coach Troy Bowles who won state at Beaver in 1994 and 1995. But in the previous four trips down state, the team who beat Beaver won state in 2002, 2003, 2008, and 2009. Beaver was the runner up in 02 and 03. The Lady Dusters are led by seniors Catie Rife, Erin Becker, Jordan Jesko, and Anna McDonald. BHS also gets a shot in the arm from freshman Jacinda Balderrama. Junior Sara Frederick and Shelby Brown helped the Lady Dusters to a two loss season and Area championship. Jones will be a guest during the Sportsguys Thursday morning on the Sportsguys between 7:37 and 9 on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
