KSU Up To #6 IN AP College Hoops Poll

Kansas is again the runaway No. 1 in The Associated Press’

college basketball poll, while No. 5 Duke is the only team from the

Atlantic Coast Conference in the Top 25.

The last time the ACC had just one ranked team was Dec. 13,

1977, when North Carolina was No. 5.

The Jayhawks received 61 first-place votes from the 65-member

national media panel Monday to remain on top for the fourth

straight week and 13th this season. Kentucky, which was No. 1 on

the other four ballots, held on to second.

Purdue, Syracuse, Duke and Kansas State all moved up spot from

last week to round out the first six, while Villanova, which lost

two games last week, dropped four places to seventh.

West Virginia, Ohio State and New Mexico finish the top 10.
