Kiwanis Honors Students

KSCB News - May 20, 2013 9:59 am

On Friday 17th, members of the Early Risers Kiwanis visited Washington Elementary for the year end BUG’s awards presentation. (Bringing Up Grades) Twenty-five 3rd grade students from Washington either raised their grades one letter grade or if an “A” student maintained their grades for the fourth nine weeks. Each student was recognized in an assembly with a BUG certificate, ruler and zipper pull tab. Additionally these same students will be rewarded with a pizza lunch on Tuesday at Washington Elementary. The Early Risers host this program at Washington each nine weeks in the hope that the incentive motivates students to raise or maintain their grades throughout the year.
