Injury and Graduation Challenge Forgan

KSCB News - August 18, 2011 7:19 am

One Radcliff is better than none, but two would have been nice. Standout quarterback Rhett Radcliff is unable to play this season due to a shoulder injury. He will be able to play basketball and defend the school’s state championship in that sport.

Forgan is left with two seniors who are two of the best players in the state and young, unproven talent. Tanner Jones is up to 206 pounds and buoyed by a successful OU camp this summer when he caught the attention of OU defensive coordinator Brent Venables. He will play on the line and at fullback and lineback on defense. Ryan Radcliff is a high flying wide receiver giving his new quarterback one of the best targets in Class C. Radcliff will also play defensive end.

Key Bulldogs include junior quarterback and cornerback Dalton Lemieux, junior flanker and safety Jake Regier, freshman wide receiver and cornerback Chandler Bryer, junior center and nose guard Simon Garza, and junior wide receiver Cameron Hall. Forgan has 14 out for football.

Forgan will miss last year’s senior class including Taylor Eagan who’s getting some reps at middle linebacker at UCO and Matt Morris who is walking on to play basketball at Seward.

The Bulldogs will be featured during the Thursday Sportsguys between 7:37 and 9 on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
