Icy roads are to blame for an accident Thursday morning that injured a Liberal man. The accident occurred at 8:10am Thursday morning at mile marker 112 on US Highway 56 in Ford County. A 2005 Chevy Trailblazer being driven by Douglas Rayo-Cornejo, 43, of Liberal was eastbound on US Highway 56 at milepost 112, when he lost control of the vehicle due to icy roads. His vehicle then entered the north ditch and rolled. The driver was injured in the accident and taken to Western Plains Regional Hospital in Dodge City.
