Hooker Car Show Winners Announced

KSCB News - September 12, 2011 5:00 pm

With 226 registered classic cars, pickups and motorcycles, the 2011 Hooker Car Show was the largest one in the area this year. Surely the shine of the cars, trucks and motorcycles could be seen throughout the five-state area Saturday morning. And if they couldn’t see the shine, many people probably saw the hundreds of red, white and blue balloons that children released at the end of the show in memory of the events of Sept. 11, 2001 as a soloist sang “God Bless America.”

“Our goal this year was 200 registered vehicles,” said Linda Martin, event organizer. “We felt that exceeding that number was a great accomplishment. We also had a great crowd of hundreds of people attend the festivities.”
