High Speed Chase Results in Two Injuries in Seward County

A car rolled into a ditch injuring two Liberal men after a high speed chase Sunday morning in rural Seward County. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 27 year old Carlos Garcia-Alamos was drving north on Seward County Road M at a high rate of speed after being pursued by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The driver lost control of the vehicle and entered the ditch rolling multiple times ejecting both the passenger and the driver before coming to rest on its wheels facing west in a field. The passenger was 23 year old Gustavo Lopez-Guillen. Both men were injured and taken to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal with injuries. The crash was Sunday morning at about 3 a.m. four miles northeast of Liberal.
