Hatcher and Petty all set to join USD 480 School Board

The USD 480 Board of Education will meet at the Education Service Center Monday at 7:30 p.m. for a regularly scheduled meeting. The meeting will be the first of the 2009-10 school term.

Nick Hatcher and Reid Petty will officially join the board of education Monday as they have already been officially sworn in at the Seward County Clerk’s office and will take part in their first meeting replacing Cliff Abbott and Bob Maier. Cheryl Louderback who won re-election has also already been sworn in.

Action items on the agenda for Monday include the election of officers, including president and vice-president. Other items include board committees, the choosing of an official newspaper for the district, a vehicle purchase, rather or not to televise board meetings, a capital outlay resolution, and certified employment and transfers.

All meetings are open to the public.
