Haskell County Crash Injures Two

Two men received injuries from a crash Tuesday at about 11:30 a.m. five miles southwest of Copeland in Haskell County. Sixty-seven year old Elvis Emery Wilson of Montezuma was southbound on Haskell County Road XX. Thirty-two year old Mario Ortega of Liberal was headed east on County Road 190. Wilson failed to stop at the stop sign so Ortega’s vehicle struck the left side of Wilson’s vehicle. The Kansas Highway Patrol reports Wilson was injured and first taken to Satanta District Hospital and then flown to Via Christi in Wichita with injuries. Ortega was taken to Western Plains Regional Hospital in Dodge City with injuries and later Life Watched to Wichita.
