Governor Jeff Colyer to Tour Parts of Drought-Stricken Southwest Kansas Thursday

Governor Jeff Colyer, M.D., Secretary of Agriculture Jackie McClaskey, Kansas Water Department Director Tracy Streeter, Kansas Farm Bureau President Rich Felts, and KLA Vice President of Government Affairs Aaron Popelk will be touring parts of Southwest Kansas to observe drought conditions at local farms and ranches. Governor Colyer and the group will tour the Clawson Farms on Thursday March 15th between 11:35am-12:35pm. The party will then move to the Gardiner Angus Ranch near Ashland from 2:20pm-2:30pm. Gov. Colyer has declared a drought emergency, warning or watch across the entire state.
