Garden City Pitchers Shut Down LHS

Liberal’s softball team had two hits and had one runner reach third base in two losses to Garden City Thursday afternoon at the Liberal Softball Complex. Garden’s Kory Thornton tossed a no hitter in a seven inning 10-0 game one win. The Lady Buffs scored seven in the fifth in game two and won 15-0 in five innings. Garden City is 15-2 while Liberal falls to 4-14. LHS hosts Dodge City Tuesday for Senior Day at 4 p.m.
