Forgan Matches Up with Big Boys in Tulsa

KSCB News - December 28, 2010 6:45 am

This doesn’t happen often. The Muskogee Roughers, a 6A school with an average school attendance last year of 1,545 faces the Forgan Bulldogs Tuesday night in Tulsa. Forgan had an average attendance at school last year of 53 kids. But those two teams square off Tuesday night at 8:30 in Tulsa at the Expo Square Pavillion for the Tournament of Champions. The Bulldogs are 8-0 despite their best player Rhett Radcliffe nursing a broken hand. His brother junior Ryan Radcliffe leads the second ranked team in Class B at 13 points a game. Head coach Todd Kerr is also counting on the senior leadership of 6′ Taylor Eagan, 6’3" Tyler McReynolds, and 5’10" Matt Morris. Muskogee, who played recent years at Liberal’s Conestoga Classic, is 5-0. The other matchups pit 5A state champ 4-0 Booker T. Washington against class 2A 7-0 Strafford. Class 5A East Central is 2-1 and plays class 2A 6-0 Talahina. Class 5A Tulsa Edison is 3-2 and faces class 2A 8-1 Preston.
