Fleming to the Rescue in El Dorado

The #8 Seward Lady Saints won their 11th straight game Saturday night with a 76-59 win over Butler Saturday night at the Power Plant in El Dorado. It’s the Lady Saints 26th straight win over Butler.

With Ashlynn Knoll struggling with foul trouble in the first half, Payton Fleming scored a career high 18 including 15 in the first half on 6-6 shooting in the half. Anete Kirsteine scored 18 while Ricquia Jones dropped in 12 with seven assists.

Seward led in the first half 28-14 and led 34-21 at the break. Most of the second half was played with about a nine to 12 point spread.

Seward forced the Lady Grizzlies (13-8, 2-5) to 26 turnovers and 37 percent shooting. Seward shot 39 percent.

The Lady Saints are 18-2 overall and 7-0 in the Jayhawk West. They host #2 Hutchinson who is also 7-0 Wednesday night at 6 p.m. on B107.5 and kscbnews.net.
