KSCB News - May 31, 2015 6:57 pm

Two people were killed and one man was injured in a two-vehicle wreck reported Saturday morning in Grant County.

The crash, involving a semi truck and a van occurred at the intersection of County Road 5 and Road V, about 12 miles east of K-25 and eight miles north of U-160.

A semi truck driven by 44-year-old David Roman-Rodarte, of Garden City, was traveling northbound on County Road 5 when it failed to come to a complete stop at the stop sign at Road V.

A 2014 Chrysler van, driven by 54-year-old Earl L. Seger, of Ulysses, struck the semi truck on its passenger side. Both vehicles came to rest in the field northwest of the intersection of County Road 5 and Road V.

Seger and a passenger in the van, identified as 53-year-old Charla L. Seger, also of Ulysses, died from their injuries in the wreck.

Rodarte was transported to an area hospital with injuries.
