Election Activity Begins Statewide in Oklahoma/Texas County

Statewide election activity begins officially at 8:00 a.m.

Monday, June 7th, when the filing period opens, Kimberly Sloat, Secretary

of the Texas County Election Board, said today.

Candidates for state offices file with the Secretary of the

State Election Board. Candidates for county offices file with the Secretary

of the County Election Board.

Sloat said that the following county offices will be filled

this year: County Assessor, County Treasurer, and County Commissioners,

Districts One and Three.
