Crash in Stanton County Kills Colorado Man

A Walsh, Colorado man lost his life after a crash in Stanton County late Monday morning.  The crash occurred on Stanton County Road 4, 12 miles northwest of Johnson at about 11:53 a.m.  The Kansas Highway Patrol reports a semi driven by 25 year old Osman Hernandez-Gonzales of Hugoton was headed east on County Road 4.  A pick up driven by 51 year old Lance Turner of Walsh was headed south on Stanton County Road W.  The semi failed to yield at a yield sign and was struck by the pick up.  Turner was pronounced dead at 2 p.m.  Hernandez-Gonzales was taken to Stanton County Hospital with a possible injury.
