County Commission Holds Regular Meeting

The Seward County Commission met Monday evening October 19, fo their regularly scheduled meeting. The Seward County Commission proclaimed the month of October Domestic Violence Awareness month, denied, 5-0, a request for in kind services, for waiver of Activty Center fees, for a benefit for Doris VanWyhe, approved an Emergency Management resolution, and approved the Response Protocol Guide between the County and City Fire Departments. Commissioners also approved the acceptance of a grant for the Health Department in the amount of $68,326.00 for community related services, and adoped a resolution to establish a Joint Economic Development Council. The Executive Board of the JEDC would be made up of 3 members appointed by the County, 3 by the City, and 1 by the Liberal Chamber of Commerce. The next meeting of the Seward County Commission is set for November 2, 2009.
