Congressman Huelskamp Announces Internship Program

Kansas Congressman Tim Huelskamp announced today that he is accepting applications for summer internships in Washington, D.C. and in his three district offices located in Dodge City, Salina, and Hutchinson, Kansas.

“Students with an interest in public service will have the privileged opportunity to learn about our legislative process while serving the citizens of Kansas,” Congressman Huelskamp said. “This is an excellent way for young people to gain first-hand experience with American government.”

Interns will be responsible for helping Congressman Huelskamp with various administrative and legislative duties. There will be two summer internship sessions. Students in the first internship session will run from May to July while the second internship session will run from July to August. Dates for the fall internship program will be announced later this spring.

Applicants are asked to submit the application form (available on the website here and attached to this email), a resume, cover letter, and the names and contact information for three references by email to [email protected] or by fax to (202) 225-5124. Due to mail screening procedures, interested applicants should not send their packets via postal mail. The deadline for summer internship applications is March 31, 2011.
