Chamber Banquet “Hollywood Style

The Liberal Chamber of Commerce held their annual Chamber Banquet and Awards Ceremony Saturday night at Liberal High School. Withe the theme being a Hollywood "Walk the Red Carpet", several attendees dressed in their finest a came out to celebrate with the Chamber. Corporate table sponsors decorated their tables in accordance with the evenings theme, and also showcased their businesses as well. A wonderful meal of prime rib was provided by National Beef Packing Company, and was cooked to perfection by Kim’s Ribs. Honored at this years Chamber Banquet were business that participated in the Chambers B.A.T.T. program, and plaques were given to outgoing Board members, Cheryl Collins, Dora Ponce, and Bill Hill. Past President Robert Burkey was also recognized and was given a plaque and a scrapbook of his year in office. Chamber Executive Director Rozelle Webb, presented Epic Touch Company with this years Friend of the Chamber award, while Alicia Bird presented Rhonda Crawford with the #1 Ambassador award. Greg Bird, a previous Merit Award winner was on hand to present Dr. Duane Dunn withe the 2010 Merit award. Other awards given out during the evening included Best Decorated Corporate Table and Best Dressed. In the Corporate Table Division, 1st National bank took 3rd Place, in 2nd was 1st Southern Baptist Church, and taking top honors was KSCB and The Legend. In the best dressed category, in 3rd was Darth Vader and Elaine Fritzen, 2nd went to Mr. and Mrs. Richard Lamon while Joe and Elizabeth Denoyer were awarded Best Dressed Couple of the evening. After the dinner and awards the crowd of over 500 attendees were treated to the musical comedy of Brinnon and Marks. Several dignitaries from around the region and state were also in attendance for the evening. A huge thank you to all the sponsors for making the 2011 Liberal Chamber of Commerce Banquet a success.
