Campbell Comes Home with Career Best

KSCB News - October 4, 2010 12:00 am

Saturday the Liberal girls golf went to Lakin for an 18 hole event. Megan Campbell shot a career best 93 and placed 3rd. The winning score was 92 so there was a playoff for first. Jamie Brond shot a 114 and Kaela Kruger shot an 119. There were girls missing due to a band trip which didn’t allow LHS to have a team score. Head coach Kody Thexton says his girls played well at Lakin. “I am happy with the performance of the girls, they have a good chance of qualifing for state if they keep the scores where they are.” Their next tournament is at Great Bend on Tuesday starting at 3 and it is an 9 hole event.
