Caley Love, Jack Taylor Jr Appointed to State Boards

Kansas Governor Sam Brownback today announced numerous appointments to boards and commissions.

�??I appreciate the willingness of these talented Kansans to use their knowledge and expertise to serve their state and communities,�?� said Governor Brownback. �??I�??m confident that these individuals will serve the state with distinction.�?�

Kansas Advisory Group on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention

The Kansas Advisory Group on Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention was established to determine, advocate for, and promote the best interests of juveniles in Kansas. Reflecting its purpose, the Kansas Advisory Group reviews juvenile justice policy, advises policymakers on issues affecting the Juvenile Justice system; and strives to keep Kansas in compliance with the federal JJDPA act.

?� Caley Love, of Montezuma, is Co-Owner of Western Kansas Pheasant Hunts. She served as Student Body President at Washburn University from 2010-2011. Love has been involved in multiple community activities, including Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Salvation Army.

Kansas Commission on Emergency Planning and Response:

The CEPR oversees 105 Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPC) and supports communities, industries, and government agencies by facilitating a coordinated effort in disaster preparedness, response and recovery, as defined in the Kansas Emergency Management Act, K.S.A. Chapter 48, Article 9. The Commission on Emergency Planning and Response�??s purpose is to facilitate a coordinated effort to mitigate,prepare, respond, and recover from emergencies and disasters in Kansas.

Jack Taylor, of Emporia, has served as a Fire Chief for the last 19 years. Prior to becoming the Fire Chief at the Emporia Fire Department in 2001, where he currently works, Taylor spent eight years as Fire Chief at the Liberal Fire Department. Taylor graduated from Dodge City Community College in Fire Science and received his A.A.S. Paramedic from Flint Hills Technical College.
