Bee Jays Reorganize Board

Joe Denoyer - October 31, 2018 2:29 pm

After the dust had settled and the Liberal Bee Jays found a new league to call home, the Bee Jays turned the attention inward.  The Bee Jays used August and September to explore options as four teams left the Jayhawk League.  The Bee Jay board elected to join the Kansas Collegiate League Baseball and will play games in that league during the summer of 2019.  That league had a better record (7-2) at the NBC than any Kansas league.

During the board’s October meeting, the board turned their attention to selecting officers for the 2019 season.  Nathan McCaffrey remains the general manager and will be the board’s chair.  Todd King will spend his first year as the Bee Jay president.  Kelly Kirk is vice president while Cory Collins is vice president 2 and Danny Luebbers is vice president 3.  Mel Patterson is the treasurer and Kristy Kirk is the secretary.
