Basic Motorcycle Course Offered At SCCC/ATS

The Business & Industry Office at Seward County Community College/Area Technical School is offering a Basic Motorcycle Rider Course at The Kansas Armory, 730 Armory Rd and the Mid-America Air Museum, 2000 W. 2nd, Liberal, Kansas.
The course, which includes a motorcycle driver’s license, will be offered at six different times: Aug. 5-7, Aug. 12-14, Aug. 19-21, Aug. 26-28, Sept. 9-11 and Sept. 16-18. Students will learn to operate a motorcycle safely with emphasis on the special skills and mental attitude for dealing with traffic.
Each three-day course runs 5:30-9:30 p.m., Friday, and 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday.
The course includes a workbook, use of a motorcycle, and a certified MSF instructor. Students must wear eye protection, full-fingered gloves, helmet, long-sleeved shirt or jacket and over-the ankle leather footwear with low heels.
The course fee is $200 for Biker Rider Course or $250 for full-endorsement.
