Barrios Bashes Labette

Jake Barrios bulked up on Labette pitching Saturday. The Saints’ freshman shortstop from Weatherford, Oklahoma hit a pair of three run homers lifting the Saints to a 6-2 win over Labette in the opening game of the Seward Super Regional of the Region 6 Baseball Tournament. Barrios has a team leading seven homers this season. Logan Hall (9-2) went the distance for his seventh complete game of the season. He is now tied for third in all time Seward wins with 16. Danny Vais had 21 and David Dinsmoore had seven. The 39-18 Saints host 26-28 Coffeyville at 1 p.m. Sunday on Brent Gould Field on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net. The Red Ravens ripped Hutchinson 8-2 and Hutch ousted Labette 9-1 in seven innings. The Cardinals finish 18-29.
