Lorena Lane Guymon, age 81, of Keyes, Oklahoma died Thursday, November 24, 2011 at Meade District Hospital in Meade, Kansas. She was born January 17, 1930 in Elkhart, Kansas the daughter of Fred Francis and Mable Mae (Conard) Craver.
Lorena was a lifetime area resident of Elkhart. After graduating from Elkhart High School, she attended Panhandle State University. She married Jack Guymon on May 29, 1948 in Clayton, New Mexico. Upon retirement from being the secretary at the Yarbrough High School, Lorena continued to do bookwork for the school. Lorena attended the Hillcrest Baptist Church and the First Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Jack of the home; two sons, Tony Guymon and Shane Guymon both of Keyes, Oklahoma; two daughters, Sherri Guymon and Dewey Holland of Guymon, Oklahoma, Cindy Moore and husband Dewey of Keyes, Oklahoma; one sister, Grace Sleeper of Elkhart, Kansas; ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
Lorena is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Don Craver, Earl Craver, Athol Craver; sister, Martha Craver; and granddaughter, Tanna Holland.
Memorial graveside service will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at 2:00 PM at the Elkhart Cemetery in Elkhart, Kansas with Pastor Gary Murrell officiating.
