Isais Salais
Garnand Funeral Home
Johnson, KS
Isaias Salais, age 77, of Johnson, Kansas died Thursday, July 28, 2011 at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, Kansas.  He was born April 21, 1934 in Cuauhtémoc, Durango Mexico, the son of Encarnacion and Elisa (Garcia) Salais.
Isaias has lived in the Johnson and Ulysses area for the last 20 years.  He worked in the feed mill at Grant County Feeders.  Isaias enjoyed walking and was a member of the St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson.
Survivors include two sons, Antonio Salais of Ulysses, Kansas, Ruben Salais of Mexico; three daughters, Maria E. Amezquita of Virginia, Juanita Salais of Mexico, Maria N. Avelar of Johnson, Kansas; two brothers, Amador Salais of Mexico, Nicacio Salais of Texas; two sisters, Amparo Salais of Mexico, Estela Salais of Mexico; 15 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Isaias is preceded in death by his parents; son, Hipolito Salais; sister, Leonor Salais; and two brothers, Juan Salais and Asencion Salais.
Vigil service will be held Friday, July 29, 2011 at 6:00 PM and funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 30, 2011 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Johnson, Kansas with Reverend James Dieker officiating.  Cremation will follow service.  Friends may call Friday, July 29, 2011 from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM at Garnand Funeral Home in Johnson.  Arrangements are in care of Garnand Funeral Home, PO Box 715, Johnson, Kansas 67855.
