Maynard Greeson
Miller Mortuary
Kismet, KS

Maynard Greeson, 67, Kismet, KS, died Saturday, May 21, 2011
at Southwest Medical Center, Liberal, KS, of injuries sustained
in a home explosion.

  He was born January 7, 1944 at Friona, TX, the son of Carl & Lorene
Shirley Greeson.

  He graduated from Frioma High School in Friona, TX, and received his                 degree in Animal Science from West Texas State University, Canyon, TX.             In 1972 he oved to Southwest Kansas to begin farming.  He married             Martha C. Mills on September 23, 1972 at Silverton, TX.  Maynard was
a lifelong farmer and rancher, raising cattle  and horses.

  Maynard is survived by his wife Martha; three sons, Chad Greeson
and wife Mary, Lafayette, CA; Dr. Clay Greeson, Cleveland, OH;
Wade Greeson and wife Vanessa, Orlando, FL; two brothers.
O'Neil Greeson and Debbie Eikenberry, Moscow, KS;
Jim Greeson and wife Gayle, Sublette, KS;  two sisters,
Rose Ann Ray and husband Charles, Friona, TX;
Carlene Osborn and husband Joel, Amarillo, TX;
two grandchildren, Eloise & Gus Greeson, Lafayette, CA.
He was preceded in death by his father Carl Greeson; mother Lorene                    Greeson Dean, stepfather, Lester Dean; sister, Paula Jan Dean
and brother Marty Dean.

   Visitation will be held Friday, May 27, 3-6 P.M. at the community
center, Kismet, KS.

   Graveside services will be conducted 11:00  A.M. Saturday
at the   Friona Cemetery, Friona, TX.

  Memorials may be made to the SCCC/ATS Foundation for the
Maynard Greeson Memorial Fund or to the charity of choice in care of the mortuary.

  Miller Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
