A Two Vehicle Crash Has Claimed The Life of a Ulysses Man

A two vehicle accident late Wednesday night has claimed the life of a Ulysses Man. The accident occurred at 8:10pm at Plymell Road and US 83 Highway. A 2008 Hundai Tiburan being driven by Kyle Pelton, 24, of Ulysses was westbound on Plymell Road when he disobeyed a stop sign at US 83 and continue westbound. A 2010 Peterbilt semi hauling a tanker of milk, being driven by Matthew Cook, 46, of Mulvane was southbound on US 83 struck the passenger side of the Pelton vehicle.  Pelton was taken to St. Catherine’s Hospital in Garden City where he died. Cook was also taken to St. Catherine’s to be treated for his injuries. Seatbelts were in use in both vehicles.
