A Seward Scare at Neosho

The Seward County Saints survived a scare at Neosho County Friday night. Despite building a 17 point first half lead, the Saints had to hold on for dear life to win 66-65 over the Panthers in Chanute. Neosho shot 53 percent in the game.

Deverell Biggs led the Saints with 17 points including 3-5 shooting from three point range. Daveon Boardingham scored 11 and Edson Avila scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds. The Saints were 6-11 from three point range in the first half and 0-4 in the second half from three point range.

The Saints are 11-2 as Neosho falls to 6-5. The Saints play Johnson County Saturday at 2 p.m. The next broadcast on KSCB is the conference opener Wednesday at Barton on B107.5 and kscbnews.net.
