Kaiser Carlile 5K This Sunday

The second annual Kaiser Carlile Memorial 5K Run/Walk will take place Sunday, Oct. 9, to honor fallen Bee Jay batboy Kaiser Carlile. The 5K Run/Walk will start at 2:30 p.m. at Brent Gould Field, located at Seward County Community College, 1801 N. Kansas Ave., Liberal.

People of all ages and fitness levels are invited to participate. Registration begins at 1:30 p.m. Pre-registration for adults is $20 (t-shirt included), and registration the day of the event is $25 (t-shirt included).

Registration for children ages 6 and under is free and registration for children ages 7-12 is $10 (t-shirt included). Those who are unable to participate or attend but want to support the fundraiser have the option of donating $20 for a Kaiser Carlile Memorial 5K Run/Walk t-shirt (please make a note of this on the registration form).

Please fill out the form and mail with payment to Michelle Krueger attn: KC 5K, P.O. Box 207, Ulysses, KS 67880. Checks can be made out to KC Memorial Fund.

Proceeds from the event will fund scholarships given to area high school students.

Medals will be given to the top three finishers in each age category. Categories include adult male (age 15 and over), adult female (age 15 and over), youth male (age 14 and under), and youth female (age 14 and under). There will also be a Senior Division as well for those Males and Females 50 and over.
