46 Cases of H1N1 In Kansas

The number of confirmed H1N1 flu cases in Kansas has reached 46, including additional cases in Geary and Riley counties.

Kansas Department of Health and Environment officials released the latest total on Monday.

Geary County had six new cases ź?? two in adults and four in children. Riley County had five new cases ź?? four adults and one child. Also, a child in Saline County has the virus.

The health department is working with health officials in Riley and Geary counties to identify people who had close contact with the flu victims in an effort to stop the spread.

So far, the number of confirmed cases in each county is at two in Dickinson, one in Ford, nine in Geary, 11 in Johnson, one in Ottawa, seven in Riley, three in Saline, one in Sedgwick and 11 in Wyandotte.
